Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the Trekfinder springs for 4 years now – covering many kilometres on the motorway, as I’m a commuter.

However, my Renegade also regularly heads off-road – as I own a plot of land in the woods (hence the K02) – but also into the Western Alps and the Abruzzo region.

As I was occasionally pushing the limits with the original suspension (Abruzzi / Offroad Park), I looked into options for raising the ride height. In the end, I settled on the Trekfinder springs. The extra 30mm makes a HUGE difference.

Since then:

No problems with bottoming out

Mentally, I’m no longer afraid of obstacles either. The ramp angle is significantly better.

For everyday use, the suspension is absolutely fine for me – yes, the Renegade does feel a bit stiffer – which doesn’t bother me in the slightest. The motorway expansion joints are transmitted a bit more harshly – which also doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I’m happy to accept this compromise.

You do need to be a bit more careful when driving over kerbs, as there’s less suspension travel left when the suspension compresses. You make that mistake once – and then you’ve learnt your lesson.

If you don’t want to go off-road – fair enough – but visually, the springs (RED) really make a statement. The 30mm lift (especially in combination with the K02) just looks brilliant (sorry).

As I said: looks great / performs well off-road / day-to-day use: absolutely fine and unobtrusive
