The TREKFINDER shock absorber has a slightly wider adjustment range for rebound damping.
It is supplied with a slightly softer default setting but, at the upper end of the range – at maximum rebound damping – it is identical to the KONI.
This means that the TREKFINDER version offers the possibility of tuning the damping for even greater comfort.
b.
The TREKFINDER shock absorber is painted black rather than red.
2.) ... what setting does the shock absorber come with, and which setting should I choose for my vehicle?
a.
We supply the shock absorber from the factory in the default setting, Level 1.
There are 5 settings in total, with 1 being the softest and 5 the hardest.
b.
In our estimation, setting 1 covers at least 90 per cent of all intended uses.
All other settings are intended for individual adjustment to weight, speed, intended use, etc.
We therefore always recommend fitting the shock absorber with this setting first and only adjusting it after some practical experience, if necessary.
