TREKFINDER universal fender flares extension kit – 1 PIECE – 50 millimetres wide and 300 cm long – including TÜV® certificate
- Affordable and flexible fender flares extensions of very high quality
- Indestructible and therefore durable fender flares extension made from black rubber
- Ideal, for example, for track-widening set-ups using wheels, spacers, etc. – for mandatory registration requirements or off-road use
- The extensions are bonded inside the wheel arch beneath the body panel’s flange
- The factory-applied backing film is peeled off and the extension can be securely bonded to the clean surface/rib edge
- For challenging off-road use, it is recommended to secure the extension further with screws
- The extension is 70 millimetres wide in total – 20 millimetres of this are used for fitting, and 50 millimetres then protrude outwards to cover the tyres

ATTENTION – important fitting instructions:
- The mounting surface must be smooth, rust-free, thoroughly cleaned and free of grease
- The outside temperature and the temperature of the components or mounting surface at the time of fitting and for a period of 24 hours thereafter must be at least 20° Celsius
- Once the backing film of the 3M tape has been removed, the width extension must be pressed evenly onto the mounting surface with firm pressure for approximately 1 minute
- Trim the ends of the width extension to suit your preference using a sharp carpet knife to match the vehicle’s appearance
- Please leave the vehicle undisturbed for at least 24 hours after fitting, or preferably 48 hours
- The bond will only reach its final strength after 48 hours
- Please do not wash the vehicle for at least 48 hours
- In some installation situations, particularly where the fitting instructions cannot be followed, additional securing is recommended, e.g. using sheet metal screws, bodywork adhesive or primer
Attention – installation instructions:
The adhesive tape we use for this profile is the best we have: 3M 4222
. If the extension fender is being fitted under normal circumstances, there is no need to use primer.
It is important to follow the correct fitting instructions:
1) Thoroughly clean the surface to which the adhesive tape
will be applied 2) Position the profile and apply firm pressure along the entire length of the adhesive tape
3) Correct application temperature: minimum +20°C
4) To ensure the adhesive tape bonds correctly, you can apply masking tape to maintain pressure for the next 24 hours
5) Do not wash the car for 48 hours after application
